Entering Payroll Changes
The payroll portal allows you to:
- Add new employees
- Register employees as leaving the company
- Generate reports
- Maintain salary details, including fixed and variable salary components
- Maintain employee master data, such as address, bank account number, salary, work schedule, and company car details
Changes can be entered directly into the payroll portal or submitted using digital change forms.
The difference is that digital change forms are reviewed by a payroll administrator before the information is imported into the payroll system. Changes entered directly into the portal do not go through this additional review step.
HR Features
The portal also offers a range of HR functionalities, including:
- Performance reviews and appraisals
- Digital personnel files
- Training and development
- Pro forma salary calculations for both existing employees and job applicants
- Notifications and alerts
- Insurance
- Leave and sickness absence registration
- Employee benefits and provisions
Employee Self Service (ESS)
Employee Self Service (ESS) gives employees access to various features. Most of these functionalities are also available through the free Nmbrs employee app.
Employees can use ESS to:
- Submit leave requests
- View colleagues’ leave through a company calendar
- View colleagues’ birthdays
- Access payslips and annual income statements
- Access personal documents
- Update personal details, such as address and contact information, children, partner details, and bank account number
- Submit expense claims
Manager Self Service (MSS)
Manager Self Service (MSS) allows managers to be granted access to view or update the details of employees within their department.

User Access and Permissions
The payroll portal can be configured to suit your needs, ranging from read-only access to documents to the ability to process the entire payroll administration independently.
Permissions can also be assigned to specific functionalities for one or more individuals within your company. In consultation with you, we determine which functionalities each user can access and whether they have read-only or editing permissions.
